Each 2026 March Madness Shop Hop participant received a fat quarter representing our 2026 “Color Your World” theme from each of the participating shops.  For the Challenge, the participants needed to collect all the fat quarters and use them in an original project. The Challenge projects will be displayed at each shop so you can vote on a winner.  And the quilts will be at Always Quilting August 11 - 15!  

Come and vote for your favorite!  You can vote every day, but only once a day!  For the week, Always Quilting will be open from 10:00 - 4:00 August 11 - 15.  We hope you will come visit us to vote for your favorite!  

Note: We will also offer Studio Sewing Social Open Sew Days August 11 - 15 so you can come and sew with us as well on those dates.  Register separately for the dates you'd like to come and join us!  

Official Challenge Details

All quilt entries:

1. Must have attended all participating shops.
2. Must include a piece from ALL participating shops’ fat quarters collected on the hop.
3. Create an original quilted piece no smaller than 36″ x 36″ and no larger than 45″ x 45″
4. Project must reflect current year’s theme.
5. Project must have a label including: First and Last Name, contact information, the name of your project, and your nearest Quilter’s March Madness Quilt Shop.
6. Project must be turned in to your nearest Quilter’s March Madness Quilt Shop by June 2nd, 2026.

The projects will all be gathered together for an exclusive trunk show that will travel to each of the participating quilt shops. At each shop customers will be able to vote on their favorite piece. The Viewer’s Choice winner will be announced on Facebook after the quilts have finished touring all of the shops during the summer.
