Roses for Freedom - Quilted in Honor by Island Batik
Redesigned for a fresh, new look, this gorgeous applique quilt features blocks from the 2009 Challenge quilt, Roses of Remembrance. This version showcases the Quilted in Honor collection from Island Batik; with a portion of the proceeds from fabric sales going to support Operation Homefront; a worthwhile organization that gives assistance to the families of our Service members and wounded warriors. The finished quilt measures 75" x 75". We are so excited to offer this beautiful Kit featuring Island Batiks. Laser cut applique for 13 blocks, background, sashing, borders and binding fabrics needed to make the entire quilt top. The pre-cut, pre-fused applique shapes have the fusible web already applied to the back so they are ready to place, press and stitch. It's super easy and so much fun! The monthly block patterns are included as well as Sharon Pederson's book, The Rose of Sharon Block Book, which includes the quilt layout pattern. Backing fabric includes enough yardage to use Sharon Pederson's Quilt as You Go Technique as discussed in her book. This is a beautiful batik project and you will love how fast it goes together with the laser cut blocks!
