When we created the artwork for Les Fleurs last year, we knew it would be beautiful when it was finished, however we really weren't sure of the direction the collection would head in. I created a prototype for the design. We stitched it out on various colors and it hung on the wall for a few months.

I wasn't excited about the way the art was drawn, so I kind of forgot about it for a while. Then I had the idea to create the design as a triptych with the flowers growing out of vases with a scroll border dividing and surrounding the flowers. The art was re-drawn and Les Fleurs was born. This happens with a lot of our projects. I was speaking about this at one of our Events recently when someone asked about the process at Anita Goodesign. A collection like Les Fleurs can take months, or sometimes even years, to evolve and become a collection. The border is created using 5 different designs and divides and surrounds the flowers.
