A Gathering - previous Saturday Sampler Applique 2023-2024, Pattern and Fabric Kit

Welcome to our 2023-2024 Saturday Sampler Applique block of the month! And for those of you who are not local, you can purchase just the pattern, and/or kit! Fabrics are all batiks.
Birds are nature's perfect inspiration for the designer of this pattern. There are endless combinations of shapes and colors! A Gathering is her whimsical take on a partridge gathering. All of the applique in this fabulous pattern was inspired from her original photography and through her research of birds and bird gatherings. Pattern includes full images of each block and all instructions to complete the quilt.
45" wide backing matching the project is available. Backing includes enough fabric for 3" extra on each side for long arm quilting. It is beautiful!
If you are doing the Saturday Sampler block of the month, please register for our class and choose if you'd like Saturday or Tuesday. Registration fee of $ 50.00 will get you started with the pattern and the first block for our Saturday Sampler program. Bring your completed block back the following month and receive the feature fabrics for your next block FREE. Each block kit will have all the feature fabrics needed to make your blocks. You will need to provide your own background fabrics for the blocks, or you can purchase our background kit with the background fabric you need for the project. We also have a finishing kit with the sashing, borders, and binding. Or you can get the Background and Finishing kit all in one. The fabrics in these kits will match the feature fabrics you are getting for your blocks.
You will need to bring your finished block to our monthly meeting on the 3rd Saturday at 9:00 am or on the 4th Tuesday evening at 6:30 pm in order to get your next block FREE. You'll also receive a 'free pass' to use one time if you are unable to come and get your free block on the designated date and time. Otherwise, if you are unable to come, you can purchase your block at any time during the month.
If you are not local and would like to purchase the kit, it will include all fabrics for the top, including the sashing, borders and binding, or you can also purchase just the pattern if you'd like. You can also do it as a traditional block of the month. Pattern and backing would be extra for that.
Note: The fabrics in our project are similar to the ones on the pattern cover, but those fabrics are no longer available. We are using a combination of batik fabric from a variety of manufacturers to create the same look. Let us know if you'd like a picture or would like to discuss the substitutions. The fabrics we have selected are very beautiful!
