The primrose flower is believed to have originated in Central America about 70,000 years ago. It has been used by the American Indians for treatment for a variety of medicinal purposes. It was brought to Europe in the 17th century. It blooms in cooler weather, typically in early spring.
These mats were inspired by the simplicity of the primrose. Take a close look at the flower petals. Do you know that a lot of flower petals have this shape. The mats come in cream, the traditional color for primroses, mulberry and pink, blues, as well as violet. The cream primroses are on pink mats. The mulberry, blue and violet primroses are on cream mats.
