Quilter's Trek 2021 Pattern - "A Splash of Color" - Kits Available for Purchase - 4 Block Kit
"A Splash of Color" is our 2021 Quilter's Trek project! We are so excited! Our block is 9" x 9" finished, and is available in a 4 block kit (18" x 18") or a 42" x 42" table topper or wall hanging quilt kit. Each block kit contains a 2 1/2" token, and 3 of our kits contain the Golden Tokens!
Our Block kit features the very popular Moda Fairy Dust Ombre fabrics with beautiful neutral backgrounds! They are so beautiful! And we have kits available in a variety of colors. Choose your favorite, or get them all and make a larger size quilt! The colors are Cranberry, Coral, Honey, Lime, Mint, Teal, Turquoise, and Iris. Our sample block features the Teal. If you'd like to get a Splash of Color kit, we will send it out to you right away!
Quilter's Trek is a NEW kind of Shop Hop; it replaces Row by Row Experience! Quilter's Trek is a shop hop type event with no fees, no passports and all summer to play! Simply visit any of the participating shops throughout the US and Canada. Patterns and Kits with FREE Patterns are available. Combine your blocks in any way to create a unique quilt that represents the fun you had traveling throughout the summer. Travel with friends, discover new quilt shops and have fun collecting blocks! Prizes, collectibles and more fun will be at each shop you visit!
Create and complete a quilt using at least 32 different blocks from a minimum of 8 different shops and be the first or second person to bring your quilt into a participating shop to win a stack of 15 fat quarters (3-3/4 yards of fabric!). Each shop will have two winners! Use that shop's block in your quilt and win a bonus prize! A quilt will be considered complete when it is quilted, bound, and labeled. Prize deadlines have passed for the 2021 event.
Exclusive FabricPlates by Debra Gabel of Zebra Patterns will be available in shops around the country. Each one is unique! Collect a bunch to create fun projects, sewing studio wall art, or even a fun backing for your quilt. Each region has their own Facebook page for Quilter's Trek. "Like" the page from the areas you visit to see pictures of the rows, shop displays, winning quilts and FabricPlate projects. And find out who has gotten the gold tokens!
A little history: Quilter's Trek has evolved from Row by Row Experience. Row by Row Experience began in 2011 with 20 quilt shops across New York State. In 2012 the event grew to include 62 participating shops. Pennsylvania came on board in 2013 for a total of 138 shops throughout the two states. In 2014 the event started moving across the country. Over 20 states were participating and planning fun for quilters nationwide. In 2015, all 50 states were participating as well as several Canadian Provinces. Although the quilt shops are organized by state, quilters have no borders. Travel, shop, collect patterns and add rows to your quilt from any area you visit.
Quilter's Trek themes are based on color, and the theme for 2021 was "A Pop of Color". Each shop has designed a block that will reflect neutrals with a "pop of color". Some shops are also offering kits for their blocks, or you can choose fabrics from your stash! Patterns are available for $ 1.00. We also have kits for our block, which include the pattern, and we can mail those out any time. And of course we also have the FabricPlates with our special Always Quiltn' license plate, and charm stamps!
